Integrating Clean Car data into your website

As you're likely aware some regulatory changes came into effect on April 1st 2022 regarding Clean Car Rebates and Fees. As part of this change you are required to inform customers if a Clean Car Fee or Rebate applies to a vehicle and how much.

We recently updated Motorcentral DMS to make it easier to retrieve and manage the Clean Car Fees & Rebates applicable to each of your vehicles. As part of that update you can also export the Clean Car data to your website for display there.

Displaying the data however, will require an upgrade to your website.

Please Note: this offer assumes the vehicle information being supplied to your website is coming from Motorcentral DMS. If you are using another system to supply vehicle data please contact one of our Support team to discuss available options.

What will need updating

To accommodate the Clean Car data, we'll need to review your website and identify all the places you currently display pricing for vehicles. Once those areas have been identified, we'll look to insert the Clean Car information near the pricing and indicate if the advertised price includes or excludes the calculated rebate or fee.

We'll also update any finance calculators and/or applications for finance to include the Clean Car Fee in the amount to loan (if the advertised price doesn't already include it).

Consumer Information Notices

As long as your CIN cards are being exported directly from Motorcentral they will already be updated to include Clean Car data in the pricing. Note: this may not apply to those with custom CIN cards.

Vehicle Summary Sheets

As long as your Vehicle Summary Sheets cards are being exported directly from Motorcentral they will already be updated to include Clean Car data in the pricing. Note: this may not apply to those with custom Summary Sheets.

Finance Posters

These will need to be reviewed on a case by case basis. This is work outside of this proposed website update however.

Cost

We estimate the cost of this update to be $495 + gst for most websites, but it will depend on customisations you may have made to your website and its overall complexity. We will advise you before proceeding if we expect the cost to be greater than this.
